Release dates for Call of Duty 5
The fifth episode of Call of Duty - World of War has been scheduled for November 11th. The new chapter is being developed by Treyarch and it features the same graphic engine used in Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare.
The game will be released for PC, XBox 360, Playstation 3, Playstation 2, Wii and Nintendo DS (the latter developed by n-Space). There’s a beta-testing scheduled in October for the multi-player option. Those who have pre-ordererd the game will be able to access the beta testing. In addition, some beta keys will be distributed through advertising campaigns.
With the changes on the artificial intelligence, the game promises to be a lot more challenging than the previous episodes. The enemies will now be able to organize ambushes and kamikaze techniques. The scenario for the new episode is the Pacific Ocean, with darker and dirtier battlefields than its predecessors.
The single-player campaign will allow four people to play at once, for the first time in the Call of Duty series, thanks to XBox live and other online services. The Multiplayer option will be the same as Call of Duty 4. But the true novelty is the addition of vehicles, even if the details of this addition haven’t been announced. There’s also the possibility for players to be part of assault squads, such as those available in the Battlefield series.
