Official date for Wii Speak
The new Wii channel dedicated to voice chat has now a launch date. It will be available on December, 5th, the same date established for the release of Animal Crossing: Let’s Go to the City. The service will be available for free, but only to the users that purchase the Wii Speak microphone. For the moment, the microphone will only be available in bundle with Animal Crossing.
The Wii Speak channel allows players to use simultaneous voice chat up to 4 users, and exchange text messages and images. Players will be represented by their respective Mii’s that will move their mouths as the players speak, although we do not know exactly how it will look like. Communication will be available only among players that exchanged their own friend codes, following Nintendo’s online policy.
