More information about Halo 3: Recon

Bungie made a series of further statements about Halo 3 Recon, to add to the previous information that was given before. Halo 3: Recon is the last game on the Halo trilogy according to Brian Jarrard, saying that it will be probably the last title that Bungie will develop. “We have already released a good number of map packs, we have new maps coming, as well. The Mythic map pack wiill arrive next year. We don’t have precise dates, but there will be yet another map pack, and then some maps related to Recon’s launch. But once this project is ready, after a few months we will move to something else. Part of the team on a different project, and part involved with one of the other projects already planned”.Jarrard also adds that Recon isn’t a full game. It features new campaigns, but it’s not a full game as Halo 3. It’s basically a project dedicated to the series’ fans. However, even though it is a standalone game and doesn’t require a Halo 3 copy to be played, those that have the main game will get a surprise. The details on the surprise have not been revealed.
