News about StarCraft 2 and World of Warcraft
BlizzCon has revealed some interesting information this year. Perhaps one of the most unexpected and surprising is the announcement that StarCraft II will be divided into three campaigns to be released separately. The first will be Terrans - wings of Liberty, followed by Zerg - Heart of the Swarm and finishing with Protoss - Legacy of the Void. Each campagin will contain a singleplayer mod based on the same structure, but completely different on missions and story, while the multiplayer will remain unique and complete in each of the three packages. Still no information has been released about release dates or mechanics. Definitely a change that will surely make this new and highly-awaited game an entertainment source for several months after its release.
The press-release with Mike Morhaime, co-founder and President of Blizzard Entertaiment was a good occasion to gather more information about some topics and discover some nice tidbits. First of all, it was confirmed the organizatin of an internal team that will develop completely new products for cellphones. He also confirmed the intention of releasing one expansion every year for World of Warcraft, since it’s more important for Blizzard to keep quality above quantity. Blizzard has also revealed that they’re studying a possible console version of Diablo III, even though the control adaptation problem is still an issue.
