New details on Halo 3: Recon

In an interview for Joystiq, Brian Jarrard from Bungie has released some information about Halo 3: Recon. First of all, the game structure is exactly the same from Halo: it is, after all, an exmapsion, hence a sequel from the path traced by the series, and particularly by the third episode. It shares all the gameplay elements from Halo 3, therefore, no structural differences should be expected. However, there will obviously be some new features. Besides the story and the scenario, there will be at least one new weapon (but this is as far as Jarrard can say, allowing us to think that maybe there will be something else), and a completely different soundtrack.Jarrar says that he considers the title to be “two games in one”: the Recon as a single player game, representing a somewhat complete game, with its own identity, a new campaign and 1000 new points to be unblocked for the GamerTag. On the other side, the usual, consistent multiplayer that is part of Halo 3, with the option of creating videos and new exclusive maps.
Halo 3: Recon is scheduled to launch sometime next year.
