Support for Star Wars Galaxies will continue despite the new MMO.

Tom Nichols from LucasArts has confirmed that the arrival of the new MMO Star Wars: The Old Republic will not influence the existance or support to Start Wars Galaxies, another MMORPG based on the sci-fi universe of Star Wars. “There’s no reason why the two games shouldn’t co-exist”, said Nichols, reassuring that there are “many new things planned for Star Wars Galaxies” that will add to the current game experience.Star Wars Galaxies was published on 2003 by Sony Online Entertainment, but didn’t really obtain a huge success. The criticism that followed gave enough feedback to LucasArts in order to structure The Old Republic, introducing the possibility of being a Jedi Knight from the start, instead of playing and gaining hours of experience in order to become one.
