Zombie Invasion in World of Warcraft

As the game and the players prepare for the Lich King, and to be attuned with the Halloween season, undeads are spreading in the world of WoW. According to what has been reported by Eurogamer, some infected coffins have arrived at the Booty Bay city, spreading this “illness” that turns characters into zombies. Not only the NPCs are victims of the plague, but also the players themselves. If the latter are infected by the plague, they have ten minutes to be cured by the Argent Dawn healers (which are distributed around the world) before they transform themselves in Ghouls.

Obviously the whole “plague” isn’t necessarily a bad thing: during the transformed undead condition, players are able to try a new series of abilities and powers from the Ghouls, and they can also spread the plague.

All of this is part of an event that gives players the opportunity to try the dynamic transformation that will be officially introduced and enhanced with the new upcoming expansion, World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King.
