The Old Republic looks up to WoW
Electronic Arts and LucasArts have declared that their objective is to reach the success that World of Warcraft has obtained, on their recently announced new MMO Star Wars: The Old Republic, from BioWare. Frank Gibeau, EA’s President, has declared to have great expectations to reach and perhaps overcome the success obtained by Blizzard’s MMORPG, also counting on the great number of Star Wars fans. It’s definitely a very successful brand that has been lasting for over thirty years, and when asked about the matter, Tom Nichols from LucasArts said he thinks “The game has the potential for it”.
