Atari will publish Riddick and Ghostbusters
A report from Variety indicates that both the new title inspired on the Chronicles of Riddick and the new Ghostbusters will be published by Atari, after the company acquired the rights. The two projects had been abandoned after the merge between Activision and Blizzard. Atari has confirmed also that The Chronicles of Riddick: Assault on Dark Athena will be launched next spring.
The company has also signed a new licensing agreement with Universal that gives them the rights to turn Riddick into a videogaming franchise. There’s no confirmation about Ghostbusters, however, but internal sources indicate that the news is indeed valid and that the game should be launched sometime next Summer, coinciding with the 25th movie anniversary.
