Activision talk about Guitar Hero fees
Bobby Kotic, CEO of Activision Blizzard, has explained what could be the new project for subscription fees related to the Guitar Hero brand titles, an opportunity that had been mentioned months ago. Talking to the company’s shareholders, Kotick explained that one of the main economical stability points for the company is indeed the stable income coming from the World of Warcraft monthly fees. Following this example, the company things it can be extended to other titles, such as Guitar Hero, thinking of the possibility to offer the songs created by the users for a fixed fee. (the most recent title, World Tour, has already generated more than 25.000 user-created songs, and a prediction of 100.000 by the end of the year).
We’ll be tuned on more information on the matter.
