LucasArts: “KotOR’s MMO is overwhelming, but we can do it”

LucasArts’s BOss Tom Nichols has declared that the perspective of launching their new MMO, Star Wars The Old Republic, is overwhelming, but that the company is capable enough to launch such a high-profile MMO thanks to the assembled forces form EA, LucasArts and BioWare. “Discouraged? I wouldn’t use that word. I’m optimistic, I think there are great opportunities for us, same for BioWare and EA. It is, however, overwhelming when you stop to think about it, about the amount of work to be done, the amount of content we are building, about everything we need to fix in order to successfully launch such a high-scale MMO: there’s a lot of work, obviously. But we are ready for the challenge”.The game’s being developed by BioWare’s studio in Austin. Obviously, all the old KotOR and Star Wars fans are awaiting this title eagerly, which puts a big responsibility on the company’s shoulders.
