Lionhead announces the Knothole Island expansion for Fable II
Finally, the highly-awaited announcement from Lionhead regarding Fable II has arrived. The communication was expected to arrive last week, but the upheaval about the New XBox Experience made it be postponed, and as it was promised, it was indeed good news. In fact, there will be a true new expansion for Fable Ii, that will enlarge the gaming world with a whole new island, the “Knothole Island”.“The remote island of Knothole is dying: its golden sands and lush vegetation are covered with snow, its people freezing, its treasures buried. Only a hero can face the trials of the three shrines to bring back the sunshine”, it says on the official Lionhead site. In order to enhance the multiplayer mode, besides the island, it will also be possible to download, for free, a series of new objects, such as Knight’s Boots, Assassin Gloves, a special Weight Loss Potion, collectible silver books and more. Also, players will have the possibility of seeing their own statistics online on more than 50 new leaderboards published on Lionhead.com
The site talks about a “mid-december” launch, while the official XBox site already displays December 12th as the launch date. The price will be 800 Microsoft Points.
