Sony has officially announced the launch date for the open beta of the PlayStation Home. It’s scheduled for December 11th, that means tomorrow, as of the date of this post (December 10th). The beta will be a free download through the Playstation Home icon on the PS3. The European region users will have the access to completely explorable theme-based virtual environments, amongst those, a specific space dedicated to Far Cry 2. Those for Uncharted, Warhawk, MOtorstorm and SOCOM will be introduced at a later date.
Some of the brands that offered partnership to Home are Red Bull, Paramount Pictures, Hexus TV, Eurogamer and Ligne Roset, that will provide virtual clothing for the avatars, furniture for the virtual apartments, video contents and the Red Bull Air Race. Diesel will also be present and will offer the latest clothing on their collection, either for free or for a maximum of €1,50.
