SEGA has released a new video that shows the third edition of the “fake tv news” that introduces us to the world of MadWorld, an exclusive Nintendo Wii title that will be launched in Europe on March 20th in Europe and the 10th on the US.
The two TV anchors from Death Watch will introduce us to a few bosses that the MadWorld’s anti-hero will have to face during its adventure, featuring comic-style graphics and a lot of blood. Before we leave you to the video, it’s worth reminding that MadWorld is scheduled to launch on March 20th in Europe and March 10th in the US, exclusively for the Wii.

The Lost and Damned, the exclusive XBox 360 expansion of Grand Theft Auto IV has beaten any previous record for an XBox Live-distributed content in the first 24 hours. Even though the actual profit hasn’t been made available, we can assume that Microsoft is now sighing in relief, since the exclusivity for the XBox cost them $25 million.
Perhaps that justifies the price of 1600 Microsoft Points for the expansion, but will the profits be enough to justify that amount of money for the exclusive? We’ll have to see.

Pandemic has released the additional contents of The Lord of the Rins: Conquest yesterday, for both PlayStation 3 and XBox 360 versions. Perhaps to try and minimize the issues with a title that has revealed itself to be below the expectations from players and critics.
The new contents, called Heroes & Maps Pack contain two new multiplayer maps, two new Arenas and new playable characters such as Gothmog, Boromir and Arwen, whose pictures can be found by the end of the article. The Heroes & Maps Pack is available for 800 Microsoft Points on XBox Live or €7.99 on the PlayStation Network.

In the last few hours, there has been much confusion about the platforms that will host the new Lost Planet 2, action game announced by Capcom with an exclusive XBox Live video. People were wondering about it being XBox 360 exclusive because of that video, but it seems that it will be indeed multiplatform.
After a press release published by Capcom a few hours ago, many gaming sites were quick to claim that the game would be exclusive for the XBOx 360, which was, in our opinion, a little too rushed, since the “exclusive” word was applied only for the trailer, and not necessarily for the game itself.
In order to clear the confusion, the guys from Edge have managed to contact a Capcom’s spokesperson that refused to confirm any exclusivity for Lost Planet 2. Also on Capcom’s annual report, posted last Thursday, there’s the declaration that “…All major titles launched during the next fiscal year or thereafter will be developed as multiplatform games”.
Although nothing is clear so far, it is easy to suppose that there will be no exclusivity for the XBox 360. But we’ll be tuned for a true confirmation from Capcom.

Sony has corrected the previously announced launch dates for some of their blockbuster games. On a press-release done a few days ago, everyone thought that titles such as God of War III, Heavy Rain, MAG, Uncharted 2: Among Thieves, inFamous and MLB 09: The Show would be released this year. But it’s not quite like that.
The Japanese company has reiterated that these games will be launched “throughout the fiscal year”, which actually ends on March 31st 2010. The fans will then have to wait three months more if needed in order to get their hands on some of those titles.

After being labeled as the “main antagonist” for World of Warcraft and an initial success, Age of Conan is going low on the charts, arriving to a mere 100.000 subscribers: a whole lot less than Blizzard’s famous MMO, and still a few thousand behind Warhammer Online as well.
Age of Conan’s lack of success on the market was surely one of the main reasons for Funcom’s 23,3 million dollar loss, which added to the previous losses, it amounts to $33.8 million: reason why the Company’s CFO Olav Sandnes has presented his resignation.
We’ll see what future is reserved for Age of Conan.
