Could this be the mysterious announcement that Sony had prepared, or is it something else still to come? Well, the fact is that the cut in price for the PlayStation 2 is now official as announced on the PlayStation Blog.
The console will be sold on the North American markets for $99.99 from tomorrow, April, 1st, and in Europe for €99, except on the UK.
If this is the big announcement or not, we’ll have to wait and see. We do hope for something more substantial, however, and as usual, we’ll stay tuned.

In an interview to Shacknews, Emil Pagliarulo, Bethesda’s lead design and responsible for Fallout 3, has declared during the Game Developers Conference currently being held in San Francisco that the company’s still working on a number of downloadable contents.
“I can say we’re working on lots of DLC,” he said. “Lots of stuff brewing up here. Really fun stuff. Future Fallout, lots of stuff brewing up here. God only knows where that may go. What famous landmarks can we destroy next?”
The next downloadable content, in exclusive to the PC and XBox 360 will see its light in the following weeks with Broken Steel, after the launch of Operation Anchorage and The Pitt. It’ll not mean, however, that it’ll be the end of the additional contents for the “Game of the Year” according to the Developer’s Choice Award.
We’ll be tuned for more information about these next downloadable contents and we’ll post more news as soon as more information is made available!

Lionhead has heated the GDC with the first informations about the launch period and contents for the second expansion of Fable 2. The new additional content, scheduled to be launched in the next few weeks, is called “See the Future”, and according to Lionhead’s boss, Peter Molyneux, it’ll be mainly connected to the main narration story, more than Knothole Island. More importantly, it’ll work as a bridge between the second chapter and a new adventure related to the game.
The semi-official announcement of an eventual Fable 3 or a spin-off is directly connected to Lionhead’s intentions of revealing material related to that title during the next videogaming conferences, starting from the E3.

The “Modern Warfare” title seems destined to become a game of its own, detaching itself from the Call of Duty series, according to the words from an Activision spokesperson during the GDC 09.
The title Modern Warfare was first born to indicate the first chapter of the Call of Duty series that were placed in the current days and not on the World War II. The results? Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare was one of the games that sold more copies in the last ten years.
Now after Call of Duty: World at War, the fifth chapter that went back in time to the 40s, fans are already waiting the arrival of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, scheduled for next November 10th. But Activision seems inclined to abandon the Call of Duty name, leaving only the Modern Warfare subtitle, and rumors say that the changes would start from the next Modern Warfare chapter.
It makes us wonder, at this point, whether Call of Duty will continue to be developed, perhaps restricted to the old wars? We’ll have to see.
