Killzone 2 won’t make any changes in the controls
Despite some criticism about the controls in KillZone 2, the team from Guerilla has declared that the current gaming system will not be changed, as it’s considered in line with the original project of a tactical shooter game.
Producer Seb Downie has affirmed that after doing a careful analysis, reading many users’ posts and talking directly to them, Guerrila Games has decided that there are no need for any changes to the system. In fact, their opinion is that any changes would bring more problems to those that didn’t have any issues with the current control system or has already adapted to it.
According to Downie, Killzone 2 is a first-person tactical shooter that focus on the player immertion, and it’s normal that the controls are heavier and slower when compared to other titles on the genre.

On the official forums they have stated that they are looking into it and that if anything needs changing it will come in the next patch, its not just heavy its jumpy slow and unacceptable this game will kill the franchise if they dont sort it out and make it live up to expectations

Thank you for the info! In fact, it seems they decided to rethink their position after all.
