Crysis Wars’ Editor available for download today
After making many fans restless with the announcement of their multiplatform CryEngine 3 game engine, Crytek now announces that the editor and the development tools for Crysis Wars will be available from today, Friday the 20th on.
Those editors (Sandbox 2 and SDK) were being expected from the launch date for Crysis Warhead, and they’ll allow users to play around with the game engine and source code for Warhead in order to create multiplayer maps to be used on Crysis Wars or standalone Mods.
Thanks to the easy-to-use Sandbox 2 and the development tools for the first Crysis title, Crytek’s dedicated modder’s portal now features almost 700 complete multiplayer maps and hundreds of Mods. Of course, the same is expected from the new editors.
The list of new features on the Sandbox 2 and Crysis Wars’s SDK can be found on Crytek’s official Modding Portal.
