StarCraft 2 to be launched in the first half of 2010
Those fans that were hoping to see StarCraft 2 this year will be disappointed in knowing that Blizzard has made it official that the second chapter of the real-time strategics will be launched during the first half of 2010.
The real reasons behind the apparent delay (as the game’s lead designer, Chris Sigaty, had talked about the possibility of launching it this year) is due to Battle.net’s relaunch schedule. Battle.net is the online platform that manages all Blizzard’s multiplayer games and it’s defined as being “an essential part on the StarCraft 2 experience and all our games”, according to the developers.
Always according to them however, the new Battle.net will need more preparation time before the game launch, so we won’t be seeing it on 2009.

God it seems like Starcraft2 is forever delayed in coming to stores. Does anyone know the drop date?

No official date yet, Carmen. They are certainly taking their time though. We’ll publish something as soon as we hear about it.

I just heard the big news Tuesday. I am so elated right now.
I spent a while researching for where I could snag a StarCraft 2 beta invite.
I found a whole lot of wierd sites, I’ve been playing it ever since!
This game is gnarley!
