So the open beta of Uncharted 2: Among Thieves is here, and the guys from Naughty Dog have decided to release the details of the demo version that has arrived on the PSN together with a series of trailers that show some of the scenario that will be featured on Nathan Drake’s new adventure.

Here are some more details about the open beta: it’ll be playable until October 12th, with four multiplayer maps and six game modes. Included in the demo, there’s the Machinima mode, that players can use to film their game scenes, and the Cinema mode, that organzies all the Machinima-produced videos and the replay of all matches, giving the possibility to send it to a friend that has also downloaded the beta. There’s also the synchronization with Twitter, allowing the users to view the progresses of their own character, updating it automatically, and a series of extra content to be purchased on the PlayStation Store with the virtual money earned with the beta.

After being revealed through a video, the third new character of Mass Effect 2, Subject Zero, now shows herself in some images. Lethal, dangerous and heavily tattooed, Subject Zero gets a good position in the team that Shephard will have to create in order to go forward with the difficult mission that will keep him busy during this second chapter of the sci-fi action game from BioWare.

October 16th is almost here, and in order to add a little bit to the hype around the launch of Uncharted 2: Among Thieves, we have a few new images of the game, that will be launched in exclusive to the PlayStation 3.

Rob Bowling, Infinity Ward’s community manager, has declared on his Twitter page claiming that the company has no intentions of releasing a demo version of the game before the launch.

“No plan for a Demo before launch. The entire team is focused on polish all the way up to ship of the full game”, says Bowling.

Those that were expecting a demo version before the launch will now have to wait patiently until November 10th, the day that the game is scheduled to launch for PC, PlayStation 3 and XBox 360.

Directly from the Tokyo Game Show 2009, the guys from Ubisoft have released a series of images, a video-interview and a trailer for Assassin’s Creed 2.

During the interview, Patrice Désilets has talked about some of the innovations on the second chapter of the famous action series, in which players will follow the adventures of Ezio Auditore. Before we leave you to the new material released by Ubisoft, we remind you that the PC version launch has been postponed to the first trimester of 2010 it seems, while the PlayStation 3 and XBox 360 users will have the game on November 20th.

Electronic Arts and Bioware have released a new video about one of the new characters present on Mass Effect 2. After having seen Thane, the assassin and Grunt, the Krogan, this time a female character is presented. Aggressive and extremely lethal, Subject Zero seems to be an ideal member to the assassins’ team led by Shephard.

Mass Effect 2 will be launched on the first months of 2010 for XBox 360 and PC. Enjoy the video!

We’re back with Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 and today we show you guys a video showing the full first game mission from a YouTube user, more likely made during the Tokyo Game Show 09. The video is 8 minutes long and shows the great work from the guys at Infinity Ward.

We remind you all that Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 is scheduled to launch for PlayStation 3, XBox 360 and PC on November 10th, and in the same day, we’ll see Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Mobilized for Nintendo DS and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare for Wii.

After the confusion (deliberate or not) with the leaked video that announced The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings, CD Projekt has released a few interesting details about the platforms that will see the sequel of the acclaimed RPG.

According to senior producer Tomasz Gop, the developers would have the intention of launching the game also for consoles, although it wouldn’t be right away, which makes us think of a delayed launch for the console versions. According to Gop, the developing for consoles would take hours of work, and that fans shouldn’t expect the game to be launched anytime soon.

Nathan Drake is back on two game videos for Uncharted 2: Among Thieves, filled with action scenes. The first video is 7 minutes long and shows Nathan trying to save himself from a derailed train. The second movie shows a shooting scene in a forest, filled with heavily-armed enemies.

While we wait for the multiplayer demo, scheduled to arrive on September 29th, we remind you all that Uncharted 2: Among Thieves is scheduled to launch on October 16th (unless they change the date again) for PlayStation 3.

The guys from Valve have released a series of new images, video and artwork dedicated to Left 4 Dead 2. The images show a little more of the interaction between the main characters and the zombies that will be featured on the second chapter of the horror shooter, and the video takes us inside Dark Carnival, a mini-episode from the single campaign that takes place inside an entertainment park filled with zombies.
