Assassin’s Creed 2: “Lineage” trailer and new diary video

So today we propose you two videos related to Assassin’s Creed 2. The first is another developer’s diary video that shows a bit more of the game combat and the new weapons and battle possibilities. The other one is about Assassin’s Creed: Lineage, a series of short movie with real-life actors that should be launched on Youtube, not on movie theaters as some sites have reported.

Assassin’s Creed: Lineage will be a prequel to Assassin’s Creed 2, and it will tell the story of Giovanni Auditore, Ezio’s father, revealing a few more details about the plotline and character of the highly awaited sequel of Assassin’s Creed. The short movie was shot using the same technique used in action movies such as 300 and Sin City: the actors shot the scenes using a green background, and the special effects and scenary were added later on.

The first of theAssassin’s Creed: Lineage short films is scheduled to launch on October 27th, with the other two released in the following weeks until November, 17th. That’s the launch date for the PlayStation 3 and XBox 360 versions of Assassin’s Creed 2, of course. PC users will have to wait until the first trimester of 2010.
