So Sony finally confirmed the rumors that we had heard a long time ago: God of War III will be launched on the USA on March 16th. The European PlayStation.Blog has also declared that the game should arrive in the same week in Europe, and on February 11th, there will be a new trailer.

We’ll just need to wait for SCEE to announce the official launch date for Europe as well.

The European launch date wasn’t confirmed yet, just rumors about the game being launched in Europe on March 19th. We’re still waiting on official confirmation by Sony, but in the meantime, here are some artwork images that depict scenarios and enemies tat Kratos will face during the game.

God of War III is an exclusive PlayStation 3 title that is scheduled to be launched on March 25th in Japan, and hopefully, if rumors are true, also during the same month in the American and European continents.

After going back and forth many times, the DLC for Dragon Age: Origins, called Return to Ostagar, seem to be finally ready to be distributed online.

BioWare has announced that the DLC will be available next week for all the versions available, which are PC, PS3 and XBox 360. The announcement comes with a little explanation about the issue that made Return to Ostagar be removed from the online distribution:

”We have a big investment planned for Dragon Age with more DLC coming in the next week or so, we ran into an issue with a title update simultaneously hitting with Return to Ostagar and there was a timing issue with both of those. I don’t know if it was a communication error with our distribution partners or what happened there. If they were released in order it would have been fine but it created a bug which prevented progression and obviously that wasn’t acceptable so we pulled it down.”

The expansion, Awakening, was also announced and it should be launched on March 16th.

The launch date is only 2 days from now, and MAG: Massive Action Game has now a launch trailer, which we’ll be showing by the end of this post.

Ubisoft has released the details of the Pre-Order eidition of Red Steel 2, that users will be able to get by pre-ordering a copy of the game in the weeks preceeding its launch. The Pre-Order edition includes:

- A Red Steel 2 20-page artbook, featuring a double cover with drawings and sketches created by the developing team
- A metal bullet with the words “Red Steel 2″ engraved
- Four exclusive in-game unlockable weapons: Kuro No Ken, Cord Industries Barracuda, Nihonto Hana and The Tataro.

Red Steel 2 will be a Nintendo Wii exclusive to be launched on March 25th.

There was a bit of confusion at first, but Ubisoft has finally revealed the launch date for the PC version of Assassin’s Creed II. Initially announced for March 16th, the launch date was then rectified to March 5th. We’ll keep on tuned about that in case it changes again. We hope not.

In any case, the PC version will feature three different editions, with different extra sequences. Ubisoft has also released the minimum and recommended specs:

Sony was quite fast this time. The rumor of a possible March 19th launch date for God of War III was quickly denied by the company. However, they didn’t deny it completely; according to a comment released by the people from SCEE to vg247, the date is a simple indicative to be used inside the company and unconfirmed at this point.

We’ll still hope that perhaps the date will come to pass and we’ll see Kratos in his new adventures by March.

The Mass Effect trilogy could become a movie. It was Casey Hundson, Mass Effect 2’s producer, to declare it to MTV.

“Obviously we have a tremendous amount of interest from people in Hollywood to make a major motion picture about ‘Mass Effect,’” he said. “The most important thing for us is, we don’t just want to see a movie get made. We want to see a great movie get made, if it’s going to get done at all.”

We’re of the opinion that if a movie is to be made, based on one of the best Sci-Fi RPG games in the market right now, it’s better to be a good movie in order not to ruin the game’s story. But we’ll have to wait and see.

GameTrailers have released a video that shows the first 9 minutes of Heavy Rain. We’ll show the video after the post, and it shows the first initial scenes where the player will personify Ethan Mars, a family man that was presented last GamesCom. Unlike many other initial minutes for other important games, this one reveals absolutely nothing about the storyline and the mystery behid the Origami Killer, but it shows the particular playability that this game can offer.

Heavy Rain is scheduled to launch on February 24th and it’ll have a playable demo on the PlayStation Store on February 11th. The game will also feature some DLCS, one of which will allow players to personify the Origami Killer himself.

There are only a few days until Mass Effect 2’s official launch, and Electronic Arts and BioWare have released an interesting debut trailer for the game.
