Assassin’s Creed II for PC: official launch date
There was a bit of confusion at first, but Ubisoft has finally revealed the launch date for the PC version of Assassin’s Creed II. Initially announced for March 16th, the launch date was then rectified to March 5th. We’ll keep on tuned about that in case it changes again. We hope not.
In any case, the PC version will feature three different editions, with different extra sequences. Ubisoft has also released the minimum and recommended specs:
Minimum Specs:
- Windows® XP (32-64 bit) /Windows Vista®(32-64 bit)/Windows 7® (32-64 bit)
- Processor: Intel Core® 2 Duo 1.8 GHZ or AMD Athlon X2 64 2.4GHZ
- Graphic Card: 256 MB DirectX® 9.0–compliant card with Shader Model 3.0 or superior
- Audio Card: DirectX 9.0
- DirectX version: 9.0
- Dual-layer DVD-ROM drive
- 8 GB of hard-disk space
(The game does not work on Windows 98/ME/2000/MT)
Recommended specs:
- Processor: Intel Core® 2 Duo E6700 2.6 GHz or AMD Athlon 64 X2 6000+ or superior
- Graphic Card: GeForce 8800 GT or ATI Radeon HD 4700 or superior
- Audio: Audio card with 5.1 standard support.
