The first press reviews about the new Street Fighter IV titles are rather good, praising Capcom’s work on the new chapter of the Street Fighter series that should be launched on consoles and PC in about a month.

Now, a list of the PlayStation 3 trophies for the game has been released. We’re talking about 48 objectives to be achieved, divided in 35 bronze, 10 silver, 2 gold and 1 platinum trophies.

On the PS3Trophies website, there’s the full trophy list with the official icons. It’s worth reminding that the launch date for Street Fighter IV is scheduled for February 20th.

Capcom has released 40 new images for their new upcoming Street Fighter IV, amongst which we can find the characters that will be present inside the game.

The game should be launched for PC, PlayStation 3 and XBox 360 on February 20th, and needless to say, it’s already one of the most awaited titles for the next year, together perhaps with another Capcom release, Resident Evil 5.

Below are some of the images. Have Fun!

Capcom has announced on their Capcom-Unit forum that Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix has reached the 250.000 download mark.

The game was launched on November 25th on PlayStation 3 and on the 26th for XBox 360, and it’s on the right path to become the best sold digital game ever.

“It is with great pleasure to announce that Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix has sold over 250,000 units year to date. HD Remix has shattered both day one and week one sales records and will most likely break 30 day sales records as well.  It’s on its way to becoming the highest grossing digital title ever”, says John Diamonon, Capcom’s associate product manager.

Capcom has announced the intention of releasing a Collector’s Edition version for Street Fighter 4 also on the PAL regions, that should be available at the same time as the standard version, next February 20th.

It will be available in both XBox 360 and PlayStation 3 versions, and it’ll feature two action figures, an animation movie, strategy guides and access to exclusive downloadable contents.

The action figures represent Ryo and Crimson Viper, the additional disc will feature a high-definition animaton film made especially for Street FighteR IV and a selection of many game trailers, while the strategy guide will feature hints on how to better face the matches, but also a good number of character artwork. Still a mystery about the downloadable contents.

Here’s a picture of the Collector Edition’s pack:

Since the real version of Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix isn’t yet available on the European section of PlayStation Network, the users will have at least a consolation prize while they wait, with the game’s soundtrack being now available for free on the Digital Delivery system from Sony (for now, at least, since it’s not yet present on the XBox Live).

“Street Fighter Undergroudn Remix” is an album that features many tracks that were made or remixed by some rather known figures on the hip-hop world, or so it seems, such as Hieroglyphics Crew, Redman, Zion I and DJ Qbert. Anyone that wants to preview some of the tracks can do so at the MySpace page dedicated to the album.

The pack is available for now on the American PSN section, but it should be arriving soon at the European one.

IGN has reported that the version of Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix on the European PlayStation Network version has been postponed to an unknown date, however likely to arrive in the next few days, since it seems to be just a small delay.

The new redesigned version of the famous fighter title, with high-definition graphics, has been available on the PlayStation Network’s American session since yesterday, and it should arrive today on all XBox Live territories. There are no further news on the reason behind the delay for the European PSN version.

It’s only a rumor for now, but it’s definitely not inconsistent: Joystiq has published an image taken directly from the Capcom store inside the New XBox Experience in which it announces the arrival of Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix on the XBox Live Arcade, scheduled for November 26th.

Capcom hadn’t announced an official date up to this point, so we will wait for official confirmations, but assuming that the image published by Joystiq is indeed the same found inside the New XBox Experience, it’s easy to assume that November 26 is indeed the correct launch date.

    We’ll be tuned!

Capcom Europe has officially announced the arrival of Street Fighter IV, at least for the PlayStation 3 and XBox 360 platforms. The new chapter on the famous fighting game will be launched in Europe on February 20th, 2009, on both consoles. Some unofficial rumors talk about a 25-character roster for the new Street Fighter, that presents itself with completely redesigned 3D graphics, but faithful to the original 2D structure.

At this point, it seems that the first trimester of 2009 will be a heated period for Capcom, with the launch of Street Fighter IV and Resident Evil 5 (Scheduled for March) within a one-month distance.

Mortal Kombat vs DC Universe’s senior producer, Hans Lo, has revealed that the European version of the game will not be edited like the American one, and hence should be more “violent”. The producer was referring more exactly to the famous fatality moves, that have been cut from the US version in order to adapt the game to the “teen” rating in which it will be published in the American territory. For Europe, instead, the game will have a +16 rating, and that allowed the game to keep the moves as they were first designed, instead of the cartoonish editing that will be featured on the American version.

After many long months, it seems that the launching date for Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix has come. The high-definition remake of the classic fighter title from Capcom is completed and waiting for the certification process, according to a post from Christian Svensson on the game’s official forum.

“It’s submitted on both platforms but not approved on either yet so we’ll have to see. Fingers crossed”, says Svensson, who continues. “November is indeed the target month. It’s a good month for giving “thanks” for all things Street Fighter”. The launch should be aimed at the two platforms, XBox 360 and PlayStation 3, although it’s not certain that the launch will happen at the same time for both consoles.
