After showing the great debut video, Mortal Kombat is back with a video filled with played sequences and fatalities. The game is promising, both in the graphics and playability, at least from what we can see at the moment. The intentions of going back to the origins seem to be confirmed with the new title. Maybe this could be the good opportunity for a revival of the franchise. We hope so.

A few days before the beginning of the E3, the Mortal Kombat fans have had quite an interesting surprise. There has been a video found on the net and published by the guys from Joystiq that shows around 8 minutes of a live-action scene that makes room for a lot of rumors. Some said it could be a new chapter of the game, some said it could be a new action movie.
The truth is that according to Jeri Ryan, who plays Sonya Blade in the short trailer, the video would have been made in order to sell the new vision of the series to Warner Bros. Perhaps we need to wait the E3 for more information about a new chapter, in any case. We’ll be tuned. In the meantime, enjoy the trailer. Should that become a live-action movie, it looks promising.
