After confirming the relaunch of Final Fantasy IX through the PlayStation Network, Square Enix doesn’t seem to want to stop the surprises. Now it was Shinji Hashimoto, from his Twitter account, to announce it.

“Good Morning. It’s the start of the week. It’s raining in Tokyo. Sign up this week, please. We will offer you a good surprise this week. Stay tuned with us. Hashimoto”.

Roughly translated from Japanese, of course. NO further news, so we’ll have to wait. Small surprise? Big surprise? We’ll have to wait and see.

After having revealed the main details about Sony’s motion controller, Anton Mikhailov from SCEA has given an actual technical demonstration that seems rather interesting.

Through the simultaneous usage of two “main” peripherals, Mikhailov has rivisted the Minority Report scene where Tom Cruise’s character managed to interface himself with a holographic computer, moving the icons and windows directly with his hands. Of course it’s not exactly the same, but it’s interesting nonetheless.

The motion controller will be launched during Autumn, of course. Enjoy the video!

From the official site, Crytek has communicated that the development team has completed the work on the CryEngine 3 and the development suite called Sandbox 3. The CryEngine 3 follows the same graphic road as seen in Crysis and optimizes the great features that were already present on the previous engine.

The video-demonstration we’ll present below will show how easily it will be to convert a PC game into a high-definition console title. The graphic quality shown in the video is simply astonishing, as you will see.

We’ll leave you to the video now. Enjoy!

Lionhead has promised a “big presentation” during Microsoft’s E3 conference, being held today (well, more especifically right now, as we type this post).

“Two things need to happen before we can tell the world. Microsoft has to see the sense in what we’re doing, and we’ve got to absolutely have something to show you. This is the rule now, the rule I’ve set myself - I will absolutely not talk about anything, any concepts or ideas, until I’ve got something tangible to show.”

That’s what Peter Molyneux said to Eurogamer about this new project that we will probably know more about in a few hours.

Of course, we will stay tuned!

After denying that an offer of 30 million dollars existed, 3D Realms comes back today to claim that the studios haven’t completely closed, and also reply to the lawsuit by Take-Two about Duke Nukem Forever.

According to Shacknews, 3D Realms would be now restructuring itself in a low-scale manner, after having spent 20 million dollars on the new Duke Nukem title. They still keep the rights on the Duke Nukem series and the company would be working with other teams to develop other titles on the famous shooter franchise.

As for the lawsuit by Take-Two, 3D Realms claims that the company has never received anything but 2.5 million dollars from Take-Two on July 2008, and later an offer on the Duke Nukem Forever work and the rights on the franchise, but nothing close to the rumored 30 million dollars. 3D Realms would have also refused the offer due to the lack of any guarantees by Take-Two.

And the drama seems to continue.

Around a year ago, there were rumors that Blizzard was developing a new “MMO Next-Gen”, that many people thought it could be a new Diablo. Nothing had been confirmed since then, until now, when Blizzard, through a post on World of Warcraft’s official forum, confirmed the existence of this title, and stating it’s a brand new franchise.

Unfortunately, besides the confirmation that this MMO actually exists, there’s no other confirmation such as name, platforms or launch date. But it’s more than certain that it will be available for PC.

It’s always amazing how the hype around Duke Nukem Forever still goes on, even though 3D Realm studios, the company previously responsible for the title, has closed its business a few days ago. A lot of rumors about the Duke Nukem series have been going on since the announcement by 3D Realms, and we’re sharing some of them with you all, as usual.

The recent rumors talk about an offer made by Take-Two to obtain the rights over the Duke Nukem trademark, and the offer seems to have been of $30 million, but refused by George Broussard and his company. The reason for the refusal would have been the fact that other deals are being studied, with names such as Epic Games, Electronic Arts, iD Software and Microsoft. Take-Two should still have the publishing rights on Duke Nukem Forever, so we’ll probably see in the next few days whether this rumor is true or not.
