The first press reviews about the new Street Fighter IV titles are rather good, praising Capcom’s work on the new chapter of the Street Fighter series that should be launched on consoles and PC in about a month.

Now, a list of the PlayStation 3 trophies for the game has been released. We’re talking about 48 objectives to be achieved, divided in 35 bronze, 10 silver, 2 gold and 1 platinum trophies.

On the PS3Trophies website, there’s the full trophy list with the official icons. It’s worth reminding that the launch date for Street Fighter IV is scheduled for February 20th.

Reuters has published important numbers concering the Call of Duty franchise, that has sold more than 35 million copies in all its versions, in the several countries in which it is distributed. GTA IV has reached the 11 million copies, while Gears of War 2 has sold 3 million copies on its first commercial month.

In the war amongst the “rhythm” games, the Guitar Hero series remains untouched with its 23 million copies sold for all its versions. For Nintendo, Mario Kart Wii and Super Smash Bros. Brawl sold more than 4 million copies in the US, according to the updated data from November.

For Sony, of course, LittleBigPlanet has interesting numbers as well: it already features more than 100.000 levels created by users that have generated more than 20 million matches.

A new initiative from Eidos has made its appearance on the official Tomb Raider website. On the page dedicated to the serie’s soundtrack, it is now possible to download a good number of songs, extracted directly from the original soundtrack from many of the Tomb Raider chapters.

It’s possible to download mp3 file packs that are divided according to the chapter in which those appear, including the new Tomb Raider Underworld Deluxe Edition, that contains 71 mp3 tracks.

Everything is available for free too. Which is always a good thing.

According to what was reported by several users on the official LittleBigPlanet forum, the outfits inspired on the Metal Gear Solid saga are creating several problems.

The bugs that were found go from the deletion of contents created locally or downloaded through PSN and stored on the hard disk, to the loss of game progress in the single-mode campaign. It didn’t take long for players to swarm the official forums with their complaints.

We hope that Media Molecule will be able to solve the issues as soon as possible. In the meantime, click here to go to the official forums.

Playstation Home, recently labeled by Wired as “completely useless”, could remain forever in its beta phase. The words come from Jack Buser, the man responsible for the project itself.

On a podcast for Kotaku, Buser has in fact declared that there are good probabilities that Home will never be promoted to a “final” stage, and many people are looking at this move as a sort of surrender that would determine the early failure of the project.

Sega is preparing to offer some of their classics on XBox Live Arcade and PlayStation Network. The titles should be well-known, such as Gunstar Heroes, Phantasy Star II, Comix Zone and Sonic The Hedgehog 3.

Some of the Sega old games are already present in the Virtual Console listing for Wii, but it seems the company has decided to enlarge their target. Prices and dates should be available in the next few days, so stay tuned.

The first F.E.A.R was somewhat “ruined” by the Extraction Point and Perseus Mandate expansions and their respective console conversions that were done by other Software Houses. At least according to Dave Matthews, from Monolith, in an interview to CVG.

“[TimeGate] took the story in a direction that we didn’t intend. We look at Extraction Point and Perseus Mandate as an alternate universe, a ‘what could have been’, and because of that it doesn’t necessarily diminish the story that we were trying to tell. F.E.A.R. was about Alma, F.E.A.R. 2 is about Alma, and we wanted to continue the story the way we originally intended”, says Matthews.

Besides criticizing the expansions, Matthews also shares some negative opinions about the technical quality for the console conversions made by Day 1 Studios, affirming that they never sold as well as the PC version.

Matthews reassures players, however, that the XBox 360 and PlayStation3  conversions of F.E.A.R 2: Project Origin will be a lot more faithful to the PC counterpart. F.E.A.R 2 will be launched on February 10, 2009 for PC, PlayStation 3 and XBox 360.

Ubisoft has officially announced a new title being developed by Immersion Games. The name is CellFactor: Psychokinetic Wars, and it’s scheduled to be launched in the first months of 2009 through XBox Live Arcade and PlayStation Network.

The new game will feature a man against machine conflict, a battle between humanity and technology. In this FPS, players will have the opportunity of using the classic weapons, but also other type of powers such as psychokinetics, flight, telerporting, super-speed and others.

THe game will feature four multiplayer modes and a very dense single player mode, accessible with three characters. Always regarding these characters, players will be able to increase their ability and customize them as they wish.

At a first glance, the project doesn’t seem bad at all. The futuristic theme is always a very fascinating one, so we will be tuned to see how it turns out. Below, the first images released for the game.
